Jesus Heals
An Epileptic Child
By
The
Twelve Apostles
Healing of an epileptic child
When
Jesus, Peter, James and John were come to the city's gates, a multitude of
people thronged the way. The disciples had tried to heal an epileptic child who was
obsessed but could, and were waiting for the coming of the Lord. When Jesus came, the father of the
child knelt down before Him and implored for His help. He said, “My Master, I beseech that you will look in pity on my
son, my only child. He is an epileptic child and suffers grievously. Sometimes, he falls into the fire and
is burnt. Again, he falls into the water and is like to drown. And many times a
day he falls, he grinds his teeth, and the foam pours from his mouth. I took my child to your disciples, and
they failed to give relief.”
And as he spoke, a servant brought the child before the Lord (the child could
not speak, for he was dumb), and instantly he fell upon the ground, foamed and
twisted in agony. And Jesus
said, “How long has he been troubled in this manner?”
The father replied, “From infancy. And we have sought for help in many lands,
but found none. But I believe that you can speak the Word and heal my son.”
And Jesus said, “Faith is the power of God. All things are possible for him who
in his heart believes.”
The father cried in tears, “Lord, I believe. Help you my unbelief.”
And Jesus spoke the Word of power. The epileptic child lay in a faint. He did
not breathe, and all the people said, “The child is dead.” But Jesus took him by the hand and
said, “Arise,” and he arose and spoke. The
people were amazed, and many said, “This is surely a man of God, for no such
power was ever given to man.”
Jesus Rebukes
His Disciples For Their Lack Of Trust In God
Then Jesus and the twelve went to the
house, and after they had taken food and been refreshed, the disciples said,
“Lord, why could we not heal this child? We spoke the Word. But even that was
powerless.”
And Jesus said, “Your great success in all your former work has made you
careless, and you forgot to recognize the power of God. Without the spirit of the Word, the Word is like an idle tale.
And you forgot to pray. There is
no faith without the prayer of faith. Faith is the wings of prayer. But wings
alone cannot fly.
“By
prayer and faith, you can bring down the mountain peaks, and cast them in the
sea. The little hills will skip about like lambs at your command. This failure may be well for you. The
great lessons that are learned in life come through the failures that are
made.”
In summary, deliverances and spiritual works are performed by
the following:
1. By Prayer.
2. By Fasting.
3. By inquiring through quiet time and
meditation.
4. By rebuking.
5. By speaking the word of God.
6. By Repetitions.
7. By rites of holiness.
8. Etc.
The Best Way To Perform Deliverances
Apostle Matthew: Why were the disciples not able to cast out the evil spirits?
The Head: Number 1, they did not pray. The first thing a minister of God should before performing deliverance is to pray. Pray for protection, victory and solutions.
Number 2, observe quiet time and meditation. This is the time when the Holy Spirit, and Hosts of Angels and Saints of Heaven, will show the processes and procedures to the ministers of God, for successful deliverance.
Number 3, if fasting is necessary, the ministers of God has to fast. Even the person being delivered has to fast, if necessary.
Number 4, sometimes, fasting is not necessary. Only advice is sufficient.
Number 5, flogging is necessary sometimes, but do not make it a habit to flog people often.
Number 6, by rebuke.
By number 7, there are other various ways of performing deliverance and spiritual works. It all depends on the evil spirits being cast out, the spiritual level and vibration of the ministers of God.
Number 8, by observing the necessary rites of holiness. The rites of holiness serves as barrier between the children of God and children of darkness.
The best thing is to pray, do quiet time and meditation, and Angels will show the minister both the problems and solutions. By so doing, the deliverance or spiritual work shall be easier and successful.
Apostle Matthew: Son of man, it is true that the Holy Spirit has shown the processes and procedures, but the ministers of God has to know this: he has to be watchful. Many of the ministers of God have not yet grown up in spirit, not yet mature and qualified, to preform deliverances and spiritual works.
Therefore, connection from the earth and minister to heaven is very important, for the ministers of God to get and obey the detectives of the Holy Spirit. Let the ministers of God not be doing their own will – plans, decisions, hopes and expectations. They have to be doing the deliverance and at same time be watchful.
The Head: Steady connection to heaven is very important, for the Holy Spirit to be in the person, so that what the minister is doing shall be by the power of the Holy Spirit and full of the Holy Spirit.
Let them not do deliverance and spiritual works carnally. Many are doing the work, simply because they know how to do it, and because they have being taught how to do so.
But, what spirit is following, using the person to do work?
What spirit is using him to do work?
Is he doing the work the way God wants?
Or is it simply because he has being taught and he has seen the processes and procedures?
Son of man, eeeh?
The Angels do not work in that way. Son of man, many religious leaders and ministers of God perform deliverances and purifications, and still perform various other spiritual works, but none shall be effective and successful. Even if a person has done a work the way the work should be done, as far as the Holy Spirit is not in the work, it is vanity, useless efforts.
